I had an awful lot of fun yesterday in York with Zoe and Keon , hope you can see that from the photos ! We shot their pre wedding shoot in the Museum gardens, and afterwards at the Millennium Bridge and park, fitting in an ice cream stop, lunch,and a quick nip back to their place for a change of clothes ! Keon loves vibrant colour so I have maxed out the colours on some of these , loved the bridge in black and white though and some of the moodier shots...
This is one of the shoots scheduled for the Easter holidays which actually managed to go ahead, the sun shone and Spring felt as it had arrived ( how wrong we were!). Thank you to all three of you for humouring me, going with the flow and having an open mind. Katie and Ian made a flying visit to the UK this week from Holland where they live and work. We were on a tight schedule on Saturday morning so condensed our shooting time a little as these guys had to shoot off to organise wedding flowers, suits etc….! Last week I shot my second baby shoot this year- this time in Ilkley. This little chap was so happy, especially for a Monday morning! We got some proper smiles and gurgles and towards the end of the shoot he fell in to a deep slumber, allowing me to get my favourite shots at the end, thumb in and sound asleep! The very best age to photograph little babies is as newborns, really in the first week to ten days of life and then again at around 6-7 months...
Saturday morning should have dawned bright and sunny- but we are in the meteorological trough that is Ilkley – so field, children and camper van were enveloped in a thick fog!!
