Travel & Street Photography
I had a fun filled morning with these little guys, their Mum and Grandma a few weeks ago playing by the River Wharfe at Bolton Abbey. What a beautiful day it was with gorgeous Autumnal colours, soft slightly misty light and two little boys with tons of energy!
The first image is my very favourite from the shoot.
I love the boys’ interaction, matching outfits and the way their heads nudge together almost into the shape of a heart as they concentrate on digging in the sand.
This was the second time I had photographed the boys, the first was a couple of years ago ( see images below), an experience made all the more special as I’d also photographed their parents wedding back in 2014- check out the very last images in the post.
Why not start your own tradition? Lots of my wedding clients, who now have little ones, book a shoot with me annually or every two / three years…..it’s a wonderful way to record your children as they grow.
Here are a few images from this family’s 2017 shoot
We all lead busy lives but putting a few hours aside one morning to have photographs taken of ( or even better with) your children will provide you with a timeless visible reminder of the connection between you all and siblings with each other….I can’t literally hold back time but I can freeze frame it for you before your children slip seamlessly into their next phase and then, before you realise, are heading full throttle towards adolescence and beyond.

I’ll be quietening down soon for Christmas and the dark months of January and February but will be shooting again in the Spring as I do every year….dates fill up fast so if you are interested in booking a shoot it’s advisable to get in touch with a little notice so I can be sure to accommodate you, especially as so many of my clients don’t necessarily live locally but like to coincide their shoot with trips back to Yorkshire to visit their families.
To finish, the wedding day image I promised…
